Hi! I’m Kama, which I’m sure you’ve gathered by now. KamaLovesAgility is my little piece of the internet where I get to share my passion for dogs, and in particular, the sport of dog agility with the world!
I live in North Carolina with my mother (and agility coach) Jubie and my many dogs. My favorite things in life are dogs, agility, fitness, and learning new things.
On this site you will find course maps from my past judging assignments, healthy recipes and articles, and dog or dog agility related articles.
And, just in case you are just getting to know me, you should also know that I wasn’t a child-athlete, and didn’t start agility at a super young age. In fact, I actually had major spinal surgery at 18 years old (my x-rays look like Frankenstein!), so not only did I have to learn how to be athletic for agility, but I also had to learn the importance of fitness for preventing injuries and strengthening post surgery.
Agility is not just a sport for me but rather a way of life. Agility gave me the focus, passion, and determination to make my health the best it can be by working on healthy eating, mental management, and physical conditioning (strength and cardio). And in the process I was able to forge the most incredible relationships with my dogs.
That being said, now that you know a little more of my history, I want you to know my goal with this website is to inspire you. I want you to be so excited about dogs and agility, that you find yourself excited for that next 5am morning start on a weekend instead of dreading it.
I turned my passion into a career by creating Club-Doggie and now Club-Doggie ONLINE (the online classroom for dog training).
I train agility and tricks from beginning to international competition levels. My students have achieved great success including winning Gold medals at Regional and National events! My creative and driven personality has also led me to open an Arizona-based animal talent agency (closed now that I no longer live in AZ) which in its’ first two years of business garnered clients such as PetSmart, Eastmark, and Sony.
