Benedict Sports Complex
Three out of Five Paws
My last experience at this location was the Jumping Chollas Agility Club of Greater Phoenix’s 2015 Paws for a Wish AKC event***. The footing is moderately level, but the grass (like most grass in Arizona) is dormant, which means it can have a little more give. The field was also comprised of a loose sand layer as topsoil, so where there was no grass, there was sand instead. This ultimately can lead to more slippage for the dogs when it is dry. There is ample parking, though this is a large event since rescues, Dock Dogs, Course a Lure, and more attend, so you could end up a ways from the actual event (don’t forget your cart for this location!). Overall, I feel the footing could be improved for the dogs, but because it was still moderately level, I would definitely attend another event at this location and recommend it as an okay place to trial in Arizona!
