Hopefully you’re not sick of Piglet posts yet, because here comes another one 😜
It took over SIX MONTHS to train Porky Pig on the teeter. She has sound phobias and was very afraid of the motion.
The first time she heard the teeter hit the ground (she wasn’t on it, we were about fifty feet away during a class and another dog was practicing), she tried to run away. She came back when I called her, and our loooong teeter-training journey started…with convincing her that the sound wasn’t going to hurt her.
We spent months doing nothing more than counter conditioning the sound (making the sound a positive experience with food). Then months slowly introducing the motion.
And look at her now ❤️ Not only did she conquer her fears, and the teeter, but she also executed it in the intense, loud environment of @westminsterkennelclub Masters Agility Championship Finals with cheering people, announcers (LOVE the commentary on this part of her run), and @foxsports cameras everywhere.
Anyway, for anyone out there wondering if it’s possible for your dog…it is. Pig is proof. Just be patient (you can’t progress until the dog is ready) and be generous (rewards!) ❤️

The Pig was awesome!!! Not official results, but we *think* Porky ended up 5th in Finals!!!
Super proud of her!!! And she loved her victory wontons ❤️❤️❤️

I hate cardio.
But I love agility.
I hate having to skip desserts.
But I love having abs.
I hate paperwork.
But I love real estate.
Sometimes we have to do hard things to get the results we want. It doesn’t mean we have to do them every day (example: Coach had me do ZERO cardio this week), but we *do* have to do them occasionally if we want results.
What are your hard things?
Are you prepared to handle them?

Today is International Flight Attendant Day. You can celebrate by stepping out of the aisle and allowing others to pass, putting your very expensive designer bags all the way under the seat, and not leaving your tissues in the seat back pocket. And before you ask, YES…this IS a full flight.😉 You can also really celebrate via Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle! 🤣
SIt back, relax, and enjoy your flight. ✈️✈️✈️
(Stolen from an FA classmate who is the best ❤️)

Next up on adventures this month is Piglet!
I flew back from the Netherlands Monday, flew to Phoenix Wednesday, have a 3-day seminar I’m teaching in California after 6 days of flying, then six more days of flying all over, then time at home to hustle for Real Estate and train Pig for Westminster in New York!
And, of course, working in my fitness goals every step of the way. Plus, incorporating my new changes.
Things are heating up 🔥🔥🔥

What can I say…it felt amazing to finally be back ❤️ ❤️❤️ Like any large event there were so many ups, downs, and learning moments. I am truly thankful we got the opportunity ❤️
I am also thankful for our Teammates and the opportunity to spend time with those who I already knew and missed seeing these past few years as well as get to know others better. I learned so much from all of you! Thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️
Jelly truly amazed me with this trip. Her first international adventure and she handled everything like a pro. She traveled so well other passengers either asked if I had drugged her or commented that they didn’t even realize I had a dog with me.
She ran every run with heart, even in pouring cold rain…and even though she pulled a few terrier moments, I couldn’t be more proud of how she handled the environment (and weather) day after day.
She finished her week with multiple Top 10 placements in her runs, including a 10th in her Pentathlon Finals round (even with a fault…she was really moving!). Of course, the little mistakes on her part and mine mean we have lots to work on, so after she gets a little rest and recovery time we’re back to training.
I, on the other hand, am not taking time off…I’m back to the gym today (and the agility field with Gir and Porky), but I have more to work on to make improvements ❤️
A HUGE thank you to the Team USA sponsors:
@4leggedflix (I have the best videos that I promise to post later), @1tdcpet (super cute Team practice sweatshirt), @brilliantk9 (the perfect Team harnesses). Super thankful for your support of Team USA!
And, last but certainly not least, THANK YOU to the coaches and staff…Mary Ellen Barry, Renee Snedecor King, Mike Murphy, and Janet. You are appreciated…thank you for all you did leading up to and at the event (and Renee, for after at the airport for keeping me posted on our flight as we waited in line and ran the half mile to the gate) ❤️ And thank you to all of you for putting your faith in myself and Jelly and allowing us to run Team Jumping 1 and Relay. I hope we made you proud ❤️

Practice yesterday went really well. Jelly had a few kinks, but she worked through them, and she was SUPER excited! We found some amazing places to walk and enjoy with friends. And, of course, ended the day with dinner with great company ❤️ Team check-in today and another practice. The competition starts tomorrow!

Jelly and I made it to the Netherlands for the World Agility Open 2022!
Jelly was PERFECT for all the travel. People kept asking if I drugged her at the airport/on the plane because she was so calm and polite 😂 She even slept through the whole flight ❤️
We spent yesterday exploring Amsterdam with teammates. Had some great food and a good night’s rest at the team hotel.
Today is a practice day, and I’m super excited to get us both in the ring after all the travel and chaos 😂 Looking forward to all the fun and adventures this week with the terrier ☺️ 🇺🇸

Sooooo, woke up to a “your flight is canceled” email this morning.…spent 2 hours on the phone to get rebooked on another airline with a pet in cabin, but was told to call that airline to pay.
Another hour of phone time results in said airline saying there’s no room for a pet in cabin even though the original airline said they confirmed with this airline that there was room 🤦♀️.
So, I call the original airline back while on the road to the airport cuz now I’m thinking that might be my only way of finding a flight (in person). Another hour on the phone, but I get rebooked (again) and this time there is room for a pet in cabin…yay!!!
Four hours of phone time and lots of worry later, Jelly and I are still on our way to Amsterdam!!!
As a bonus, I spilled my water on my lap while driving and talking with customer service so…
Aaaanyywayy, Jelly’s 50/50 fundraiser is now up to $470!!! There’s still time to enter, and I’m going to draw at 3pm EST (instead of 2pm due to our new flight). I’ll post yesterday’s flyer in the comments in case you missed how to enter ❤️
