Practice yesterday went really well. Jelly had a few kinks, but she worked through them, and she was SUPER excited! We found some amazing places to walk and enjoy with friends. And, of course, ended the day with dinner with great company ❤️ Team check-in today and another practice. The competition starts tomorrow!

Jelly and I made it to the Netherlands for the World Agility Open 2022!
Jelly was PERFECT for all the travel. People kept asking if I drugged her at the airport/on the plane because she was so calm and polite 😂 She even slept through the whole flight ❤️
We spent yesterday exploring Amsterdam with teammates. Had some great food and a good night’s rest at the team hotel.
Today is a practice day, and I’m super excited to get us both in the ring after all the travel and chaos 😂 Looking forward to all the fun and adventures this week with the terrier ☺️ 🇺🇸

Sooooo, woke up to a “your flight is canceled” email this morning.…spent 2 hours on the phone to get rebooked on another airline with a pet in cabin, but was told to call that airline to pay.
Another hour of phone time results in said airline saying there’s no room for a pet in cabin even though the original airline said they confirmed with this airline that there was room 🤦♀️.
So, I call the original airline back while on the road to the airport cuz now I’m thinking that might be my only way of finding a flight (in person). Another hour on the phone, but I get rebooked (again) and this time there is room for a pet in cabin…yay!!!
Four hours of phone time and lots of worry later, Jelly and I are still on our way to Amsterdam!!!
As a bonus, I spilled my water on my lap while driving and talking with customer service so…
Aaaanyywayy, Jelly’s 50/50 fundraiser is now up to $470!!! There’s still time to enter, and I’m going to draw at 3pm EST (instead of 2pm due to our new flight). I’ll post yesterday’s flyer in the comments in case you missed how to enter ❤️

Want to be great at agility? Develop a passion for dog training. Because agility is a GIANT trick.
So, the same skills that helped me teach Popeye how to hold a REAL hot dog and bun for a photoshoot (that ended up as a mural on the side of the Diamondbacks’ stadium in Phoenix) are the skills that help build our agility team.
Just like anything, there will be ups and downs. Days where you’re sure you (and your dog) are getting it, and days where you wonder if it will *ever* come together.
Just take it a day at a time and remember…a training session with your dog is *never* wasted time ❤️

Now is your chance to come fly with me! Applications open again April 26th 11am-3pm CDT!
Time to get those resumes ready. Go to careers.southwestair.com and set up your profile BEFORE this day. That helps speed up the process.

Be ready right away to get your application in on April 26th. Over 20,000 applications were submitted when I applied and the server crashed!
Don’t miss out!!

Different dog, same course, same handling plan, different positions…
Sometimes when I analyze my runs with Popeye vs my runs with Jelly, things are nearly identical. Other times there are small differences where I’m using a little more distance with Popeye. And sometimes there are big differences as I choose different plans to play to their individual strengths.
Anyway, video to come, but just wanted to share these little screenshot similarities ☺️

Screenshots from practice today with Jelly Bean…video tomorrow when I’m at the gym and can use their WiFi 😂 (Our Starlink has arrived, so now I just need to figure out how to set it up 🤞)
Overall, it went pretty well…we made it almost to the end of the course before we made a mistake. Watching back the video, I feel that I need to work a little more (heck, a lot more) on my sprinting. My form is definitely off. But that’s okay, I still have time to make improvements before Tryouts and WAO.
Jelly also needs some proofing…both on her bypass cue and her backside cue. But again, we have time.
I’m practicing again tomorrow. Plus the gym. Plus food prepping for my next days of flying. Plus working on my Real Estate CE.
We all get the same 24 hours. I plan on making the most use of them that I can 💪

Our WAO Team USA uniforms arrived!
People ask me all the time how I can do so much, and the answer is easy…passion & goals.
I love what I do…from agility to fitness to real estate to travel…none of it feels like work, because I have passion as my fuel.
And goals…well, those keep the passion strong. Setting little markers for myself to strive for, and big milestones to celebrate. Each one, big or small, gives me that burst of adrenaline that comes with achievement and makes me want more.
Don’t get me wrong, I am happy with what I have now, what I have already accomplished…the drive for more is not in pursuit of finding joy where it’s lacking, but rather in finding out what is possible. How far can I go? In agility? In real estate? In life?
Too often we set limits before we even know what we are capable of achieving. I don’t see a ceiling. I’m not willing to cap my potential. I want to see what’s possible if I just keep trying…

I am officially five days away from my one-month mark of becoming a flight attendant and it has already been such an adventure!
I’ve worked on all three of the styles of planes that Southwest currently flies. I’ve had the “party” flight and sold more alcohol than I thought possible. I’ve had the medical emergency…that was intense, but I had two other incredible Flight Attendants working that leg with me, so it went as smoothly as possible…and they both said I responded great to the situation. I’ve also received three kicktails and my first recognition ❤️💙💛
I’ve had super kind flight attendants and pilots (one even coordinated the mini photoshoot in Burbank that resulted in these photos).
I head back to Charlotte on the 10th, and I’m excited to be home, but I’m also thankful for all that I’ve experienced and learned in such a short time.
After April I’ll be able to adjust my schedule so look out as I’ll be doubling down on real estate and dog agility again cuz this girl has goals 💪
